Balance Sheet Management

The Balance Sheet Management team, based in Dublin, is responsible for the optimisation of DEPFA’s asset portfolio. The team fulfils this mission by:

Complementing the primary market origination activities of the PSO division through the purchase of secondary market loans and bonds;
Coordinating closely with DEPFA’s Treasury in order to ensure the optimal funding mix for the Bank’s assets;
Ensuring that all risk other than credit risk is hedged effectively in conjunction with DEPFA’s Treasury and Capital Markets teams
Overseeing the distribution of assets through secondary market sales, syndication and securitisation;
Monitoring movements in the credit markets and postioning the portfolio accordingly.
